Autobiography of a Laptop

My name is Laptop

I was made in China and sold by a Chinese to a Greek .

When I arrived in the town of Greece many people wanted to buy me. There were about thirteen customers.

By that time Corona Virus or Covid -19 had spread in most countries. So, when the 1st person was examining me, he saw my 'Made in China' mark and left in a hurry, saying-" I don't need your Covid full laptop!"

That made me sad. Can you guess what happened to the twelve others wanting to buy me? Of course, the same thing .It made me sadder and sadder.

Then, a cheerful man came by .😀

"Hi Zeus!" said the man to my shopkeeper.

"Akhenhaten ! What are you doing here? Surely you must not be out here to buy a China made laptop!" called out my shopkeeper Zeus with a smile. "Really! Well, where is that laptop? Surely you cannot be selling a China manufactured laptop?" said Akhenhaten  , sighing.

"Oh well…..I am ! It was sold to me by a Chinese! I thought it was manufactured in some other place , not China! Otherwise I would not have bought it ." said Zeus sadly. "Because of this reason, no one wants to buy it! " Then Zeus looked up at Akhenhaten with happiness.

"I will" said Akhenhaten. "You know, in my country, Egypt, the same thing happened .I bought a dozen scissors (to sell) , and came to know they were made in China!"

And so, Akhenhaten bought me.

All the people in Akhenhaten's village said, "How foolish Akhenhaten is to buy Covid full things!" I didn't understand why they said that. He only bought me!

Later I understood .

Most of Akhenhaten 's belongings were made in China. Turns out he had found that shopkeepers were selling Chinese products having the same sad story as Zeus and Akhenhaten had bought them .He never used me or the other Chinese products. He had been living with Chinese products for seven months!

Poor Akhenhaten died soon afterwards of Corona Virus. Me and the other Chinese products have been gathering dust since then.😔

THE TERRIBLE CURSE !!!

One fine day, the children of Class Four were being told a story about a naughty boy named Pinocchio by a 5^th-Grader. “And then, his nose started growing longer!”, she said. “Oh! How I wish it happened to us too because when I tell the truth, my parents think I’m lying. They’d know if we were telling the truth!!!”, Stanley wished. “Stanley, think before wishing!”, I glared at him, “They might come true, you never know!!” Suddenly, green smoke appeared in our classroom. We coughed and scolded Stanley. ”Stanley, did you really have to?”, I coughed.”Look what you got us all in to!!!” Everyone agreed with me and got really upset with him.  

         

Poor Stanley! He looked so guilty! I almost felt like blaming myself for all this! We then heard a very dark and witchy voice say, “Good wish Stanley! I can help you…….May their nose grow longer as they lie!!!!” “Please, witch! Do not make the wish come true!! PLEASE!!!” I cried. But it was too late - the green smoke reappeared and drowned all my cries. Others did not seem to care. They thought they imagined the whole thing but shared terrified looks. Meanwhile, Akshit interrupted their thoughts by coughing.”Cough, cough! I think I’m ill!! COUGH!!!” He fainted. Their question was answered because the moment he did that, his nose started growing one inch longer!!! “Looks like we weren’t imagining after all!!”, Mridul said , his voice slightly trembling. “That’s fine, but how do we get him out of the spell???”, moaned Jaiwant, Akshit’s Best Friend. There was a ghastly silence as we all realized we could NOT get him out of the spell the witch had cast on us. So, each day everyone lied at least once and our noses grew longer and longer.😢😢

One fateful day, our long noses were noticed by a good, young and helpful fairy named Anastasia. But, as soon as we caught sight of her, she quickly hid her fairy wings so we wouldn’t know she was a fairy. “Good day, ma’am!” She didn’t respond. Perhaps she’s French, I thought. “Bonjour, Mademoiselle!”, said one of my French friends. “Thank you ! Good day to you too!”, she smiled sweetly.  “I am famished”, she said, laughing gently. We served her some food🍲 and gave her a tour around. All of a sudden, her ears began to sparkle. “Oh no! Time’s up!”, she cried, looking worried. “What’s with the worried face, ma’am?”, we asked curiously. She sighed. “You have been kind to me, so in return I will grant you a wish.” Then from her back, out rose her wings!!! Her magic wand appeared in her hand, as did her rainbow-coloured🌈 hair and a very long, elegant, fairy-ish, purple dress.👗 “You’re a…”, we tried to speak but words failed us. She smiled and nodded. “Yes. What is your only wish dear children?” We all said excitedly, “We ask you to please get us OUT of this spell!!!J” “Ok children, it will be granted!” Before she went she gave us all a candy.🍬 “Eat this and it will be gone forever!”, she instructed .Then she disappeared. Without wasting time, we gobbled our candies. Poof ! Our nose was normal! We had learnt our lesson and from then on we  never ever wished again.

What's in the suitcases?

On Sunday my grandma👵 came to Moscow . I was very excited💃 . When we reached the airport , I saw her carrying three suitcases💼💼💼 . I hugged her . But from the inside I was really curious to know what was there in these suitcases. I  wondered if there was a phone for me or a small magical house that becomes big when we open it . I suddenly had an idea 💡 ! This was my plan : 

1. When she goes to her room I’d sneak in with her .

2. Then , when she’d go to sleep I would open the  suitcases and take a sneak peek of the things kept in it . 

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED !

Ain’t I an evil genius ? 

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA  ! 😈😈

So when we reached  home my mother  welcomed her and  gave her a glass of water . I patiently waited for her to go to her room and fall asleep  . But unfortunately I didn’t need a “plan”  . She  showed us what was inside the suitcases  . One suitcase was filled with the stuff we needed . I remember these were kept :   

A Geometry Box

The geometry box had a compass , a pen - pencil , eraser , sharpener , three rulers and pencil leads . My mom said I could only use it when I was in class 5. 

Clothes for my sister and me

She got us a bunch of clothes that we were hardly interested in. We wanted to dig in more to get the other stuff  out of the suitcases .   

A doll

I got a new doll and I called her Elsa . She can sing and wears pink . Elsa has a cute flower in the middle of her dress .

Stationery  set  

She got two boxes filled with colorful stationary . One was Minnie stationery set and the other was Elsa. As you know I love Elsa I quietly hid the Elsa set in my cupboard so that my sister wouldn't know about it.

Tuck

Our grandma brought a lot of goodies for us . Well , if I remember correctly she got these :-

1) SWEETS -Indian sweets of different shapes and sizes

2)CHOCOLATES- I was over the moon when I saw this :)

4) MAGGI – Have you ever tasted maggi ? These are Indian noodles with masala...🍝

5) MANGO – I love this fruit .

That day my sister Alyona taught  granny two Russian words – SPACIBA (Thank you)  and NEYT  (No) . Our first day with our grandma turned out to be full of excitement .  She even sewed  two beautiful dresses for our dolls . We had so much fun with her  that I dreamt about her  that day. 

Princess Elsmeri

Once in a faraway kingdom there lived a pretty princess called Elsmeri👸 . She was warm hearted💖 and helped the needy . The poor were fond of her so she befriended them. Her father, the king was very wealthy but greedy. The secret to his wealth was a chicken that laid five eggs every day .

One day, the king suffered from high fever. He was very worried about his daughters. So he called Selena and Elsmeri and said ,"You haven’t got enough fresh air because you take care of me all day long so I get well soon. But you might get ill too .Go play outside and leave me alone!"🌳🌴🐦

Elsmeri went out to  play with her friends Belaan and Twilight .When Elsmeri was playing , she spotted one of the five eggs . And it wasn’t white, it was golden ! She was trying to solve this golden egg problem🤔 . Right then  Belaan  looked at Elsmeri . She said , “Well ...well ..... What are you looking at  detective inspector ? What’s bothering you and disturbing you to stop playing with us ?” Belaan looked👀 at the direction Elsmeri was pointing and was astonished . There was a room ahead which had hundreds of golden eggs . She opened her mouth to say – Wow !  She called all the girls . 

“ OOOOOOH ! AAAAAAAH ! SOOOOOOOO COOOOOL !"  ,the girls said.

“I have a plan !”  whispered Elsmeri “ We can give these eggs to poor kids. What do you think ?"

Twilight said , “Sounds great ! I’m game for it .”  All the girls said ,"me too , me too”. They carefully put ten eggs in each of their backpacks and distributed them among the beggars and poor kids. 

                                      

                                         

Once they were done they came back . Their parents collected them. Elsmeri did not tell Selena about it . Elsmeri gave her friends one egg each when they left . She kept one egg for herself and when everyone fell asleep at night she cracked it. Then she wished she had magic powers. Poof.....she had magic powers. They were magical eggs!  She also noticed a pretty wand in the golden egg. It had a girl made on top of it on which Elsmeri’s Dimo Wand was written. It was decorated with small diamonds🔸🔹and was pink.  She used her Dimo wand to make a water park, help poor people and give them a good life. She used her magic to make her father an honest king and wished he wasn’t greedy. She cured her father. Then she slept.

The next morning, she woke up and saw her father giving a golden egg to each family in his kingdom. And Elsmeri got three eggs as a gift from her honest father. From then on Elsmeri lived happily with her wand and honest father😃. Of course! We can’t forget her sister and mom who were there too.

A day at the Water Park

One fine day, when the children were drawing, reading and talking, their class teacher Ms Olga Bubunova walked into the classroom and said - '' Good Morning children! I have an exciting announcement for you!.'' Everyone stood up at once and greeted her -'' Good Morning ma'am ! '' She said - '' Children, our Principal has said you are the tidiest and the most disciplined class and so he has decided to take your class to the Water Park! '' Excitedly, the class cheered and sang -'' To the water park we march, to see the slides, to have fun and to make new friends! '' All of them were proud that they helped each other in keeping their class tidy. '' Okay children, we will go to the Water Park tomorrow. No class has ever got an opportunity like yours. You have done a great job!" The bell rang and all the children went to pick up their jackets and headed towards the stairs. They rushed and were so excited about the next day that they sang while running down the stairs.

 Jasmine went home and told her mom all that Ms Bubunova had said. Her mom was proud of her little angel. The next day, Jasmine got ready and went to school. A blue bus was waiting outside to take them to the Park.  They sang on the way and cracked jokes. When they reached the Park, they changed into their swimming costumes and SPLASH !  They swam and enjoyed. 

                   

By afternoon, they were exhausted and famished. They sat down for lunch and opened their lunch boxes. Mom had packed a special Indian pudding called "Seviyan" for Jasmine.  They shared their meals with each other.

They spent some more time in the water enjoying the slides and then it was time to go home. The kids were so tired that they slept on their way back home.

It was Jasmine's best day ever!

Myra's lost doll

   

Hi! My name is Myra. My favorite toy is my doll. Her name is Elsa .OH! There is a movie. The name of the movie is Frozen. In that movie there is a character named Elsa ! Elsa, my doll is famous.                                                                                                                                                   

Yesterday I was invited to my cousin's birthday party. I was thrilled but I wanted to take Elsa with me. I called my cousin to ask her if my doll could come too. My cousin said - '' Yes , she can". I got dressed and made Elsa ready too.                                                                                                                           

 When we got there, my cousin greeted me and we went to the TV room. After a while, I got bored watching TV. I went to the bathroom and left Elsa somewhere. When I came out of the bathroom, I could not find my doll! I went searching for her, but to no avail. I got upset and went home. When I reached home I burst into tears.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       
The next day I went to my cousin's house again and searched and searched. I finally found Elsa hiding behind the door. I quickly put her in a bag, zipped it up and took her with me. I am now very careful whenever Elsa is there with me. I don't want to lose her again.
